Street photography isn't my cup of tea.. Or at least that's what I thought
until I joined the the Rockin' Rotterdam project.
In this initiative promoted by the Royal Photographic Society (RPS), photographers of all experience levels were invited to participate in a collective "creative coverage" of each and every street in Rotterdam..
Quite a task, as not many neighborhoods shine for their interesting sights.
Add some cloudy sky and drizzle (and lack of people on the streets thereof), and you have your challenge!
As I discovered, you can always find something worth a picture,
if you just learn to see beyond the obvious :)
In total, I submitted 94 streets to the project, from postcode areas 3022, 3023, 3076, and 3086. The following is a selection of pictures I took during the official Rockin' Rotterdam meetups between January and April 2017.
